WHAT WE BELIEVE
THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
We believe the Bible in its entirety, and in its original form, to be the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God: and that it is the divinely authoritative standard for every age and every life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
THE GODHEAD
We believe that there is but one God who has revealed Himself in three persons- The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. We further believe that God is sovereign, Holy, perfect, and unchanging. We believe in the Genesis account of creation; that God is the source of all life and that all souls belong to Him. (Genesis 1:1-3; 1 John 5:7-8)
THE PERSON AND WORK OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the first and only begotten Son of God, who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of Mary(a virgin), that He lived a sinless life; that being without sin, He offered Himself as the sin offering to atone for and completely remit the sins of mankind. We further believe that Jesus was crucified, died and buried, was resurrected, ascended into heaven, and now sits at the right hand of God the Father.
(John 3:16; Luke 24:7; 1 Corinthians 15:12-23)
SALVATION
We believe it is only through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord that one may attain personal salvation. (Romans 10:9-13; Acts 4:12)
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the present day ministry of the Holy Spirit. By His indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and is empowered for witness and service. We believe that all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are operative today. We further believe that all Christians should receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of “speaking in other languages,” as given utterance by the Holy Spirit.
(Galatians 5:16-25; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Acts 2:4)
ETERNAL STATE
We believe that everyone who receives Christ becomes joint heirs with Him, and at death, their spirit departs to be with Christ and at His second coming their bodies will be raised to the likeness of the body of His glory. We further believe that both heaven and hell are literal places prepared for the righteous and unrighteous respectively. That God will judge all men by Christ. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
