Apostle Craig S. Banks

Craig S. Banks a native of Little Rock, AR is the 5' of & children, born with a degenerative heart disease. At the age of 3 while in the hospital, his doctor told his mother that there was nothing else they could do for him and that he would die shortly thereafter. His mother stepped out of the room and prayed, "Lord, if you spare his life and heal him, I'll give him to you for the ministry!" He miraculously

recovered and eventually outgrew the disease at the age of 20.

 

Craig is a graduate of Hall High School in Little Rock, AR and has attended DeVry School of Electronics 1977-78, Philander Smith College 1979 and Capital City Business College 1980-81 with a emphasis in broadcasting. Craig received his Doctorate of Divinity Degree in 2015 from St. Thomas Christian University.

Craig S. Banks broadcast career began in the Little Rock, AR two Christian radio stations, KITA-1440 AM and KSOH-1050 AM his strengths were in sales, production and marketing.

Craig has over 30 years of experience in ministry and kingdom building. Craig accepted Christ in December 1978 and six months later he answered the call of God to serve as a minister. In 1980 he became a member of Agape Church in Little Rock, AR and served on staff part-time through 1984. He began to travel and minister in crusades, conferences, and various churches throughout the region from 1984 -1988. In 1988 he became a member of Full Counsel Christian Fellowship and served on staff as Assistant Pastor until 2000. In March 2002 Craig, along with his wife Sheryl founded Canaan Christian Center where the motto is "Raising A City of Servants". The ministry was established to love God's people and to develop in each person the heart of The Ideal Servant - Jesus Christ. In 2006 he established Canaan Christian Center Servant-Hood Training Institute, a school of ministry which is designed to develop in each believer a true servant's heart. In 2010 Craig was appointed and affirmed as an "Apostle" and in 2011 he instituted the Canaan Apostolic Covering for empowering the ministerial gifts of the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers in accordance with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. This covering presides over several churches and ministries, providing Evangelical Leadership, Ecclesiastical Guidance and Ministerial Development. Craig is a published author (The Heart of a Servant - A Believers Guide to Fulfilling Purpose 2012), noted conference speaker and community leader. Craig also has a TV ministry called "Heart of A Servant" which is broadcast across the state of Arkansas on Victory Television Network (KVTN-25) and nationally on Golden Eagle Broadcasting on Directv, it is also worldwide on the internet via SayAmen TV. The broadcast is also seen on KGEB-TV25 in Tulsa, OK and

KUGB-TV28 in Houston, TX. He established a church in Kenya, Africa and has traveled to Brazil on mission's trip to Sao Paulo, Itupeva, and Jundiai.

Pastor Sheryl Banks

Sheryl is a native of Chicago IL and attended elementary school there. She later moved to Dumas AR with her family and graduated from Dumas High School in 1975. Sheryl attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff studying music education. In August 2015 Sheryl received her Doctorate of Divinity Degree from St. Thomas Christian University.

 

Sheryl had a 25 year career in the banking industry; during the course of her career she had several major accomplishments. During her tenure in the banking industry her achievements were recognized with many promotions which lead to her final position as Assistant Vice President. Sheryl was recognized regularly as a strong motivator of her teams, them being the top performers throughout a 5 state region, winning several awards, competitions, and sales and incentive achievements.

 

Pastor Sheryl was called to "serve" in the ministry at the age of 5 and it became obvious, she was gifted and anointed to sing and play the piano. Sheryl continued to develop her ministry gifts by working with numerous choirs, musicians, and also serving as the Minister of Music, for several churches and ministries (West Dumas COGIC of Dumas, AR under the leadership of the late Dr. A.L. Hunt, Sr., Main Street COGIC under the leadership of Dr. Joe L. Stocker, Bethlehem under the leadership of Bishop D. Dwayne Rudd, New Morning Star Baptist Church, under the leadership of Bishop Esau Watson Jr., Trumpet in Zion, under the leadership Apostle Lawrence Braggs, Full Counsel Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Bishop Silas & Jennifer Johnson). In March 2002, she co-founded Canaan Christian Center where she currently serves as Pastor along with her husband Craig. In 2011, Pastor Sheryl released her 1st musical cd entitled "Bank On This", which showcases multiple genres of gospel music including, contemporary, praise and worship as well as traditional gospel. Pastor Sheryl is fully committed to winning souls for the building of  God's Kingdom; in worship and praise through song. Besides being an accomplished psalmist and musician, Pastor Sheryl walks in her calling as an anointed prophet and conference speaker while also having Women's Ministries "Daughters of Destiny" and "Pastor's Wives"

 

Pastor Sheryl also serves as the Dean of Students and Instructor in Canaan Christian Center Servanthood Training Institute (CCCSTI) which was instituted in 2006 by her husband Apostle Craig Banks. Pastor Sheryl has travelled extensively on mission trips to Brazil which included the cities of Sao Paulo, Itupeva, and Jundiai and also to Jamaica. Pastor Sheryl is active in her community having served on the Mayor's

Community Outreach Committee for the city of Pine Bluff, AR.
